Our STORY
Performance Electrical was founded in July of 2018 by Shane Benefield and a lifelong friend who shared a dream of running their own company one day. What started as conversations between friends about “what if” quickly turned into the foundation of a business built on trust, hard work, and the belief that doing right by people—both employees and customers—would always lead to success.
By 2019, the company was growing faster than expected, and with the help of additional investors, Performance Electrical was able to take on bigger opportunities and expand its reach. That early support laid the groundwork for what the company would become.In 2022, Shane’s wife, Sarah, officially joined the business. She brought not only her business insight but also her passion for people, making her a natural fit for the team. Two years later, in 2024, Sarah purchased the investors’ shares, allowing Performance Electrical to proudly transition into a Women-Owned Business. This step was more than just a milestone—it was a reflection of the company’s evolving story and its commitment to growth, inclusion, and family values.
From the beginning, Performance Electrical has steadily grown year after year. But more importantly, the heart of the company has stayed the same: invest in people, take care of customers, and always strive to be better. Today, Performance Electrical is not just about providing electrical solutions—it’s about building lasting relationships and creating a place where employees feel valued and customers know they can count on us.
