Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate design reviews with engineers, architects, and general contractors.
- Establish project milestones and ensure alignment with client and company goals.
- Oversee day-to-day operations on-site to ensure electrical work meets code, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and industrial automation.
- Ensure adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and resolve technical or field issues promptly.
- Supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure efficiency and quality workmanship.
- Conduct jobsite meetings to communicate project updates and resolve conflicts.
- Mentor and train junior project managers, estimators, and site personnel.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Track labor, material, and subcontractor costs to maintain profitability.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily logs.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to clients and senior management.
- Ensure project closeout documentation is accurate and delivered on time.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and vendors.
- Manage expectations through proactive communication and transparency.
- Address and resolve client concerns quickly to maintain satisfaction and trust.
- Assist with pre-bid reviews and provide technical input during the estimating phase.
- Review bid packages, identify risks, and help develop competitive proposals.
- Evaluate material takeoffs and subcontractor bids for accuracy.
- Implement best practices to improve productivity, safety, and quality.
- Analyze project outcomes and identify lessons learned for future improvements.
- Stay current with new technologies, materials, and code updates in the electrical industry.
